Started riding at 18 on a Garelli Tiger Cross II (Wish I had kept it) and then advanced to a Honda Superdream 250 which you could ride on “L” plates at that time. So no test was taken!   

Like most of us, family, life, rugby, and tennis get in the way for the next 30 years but the riding flame was still alive.      

I was encouraged back to the saddle in 2014 by a friend who did my direct access in the same year and quickly regained the passion. My Triumph Tiger 1050 came along which I loved and in August 2018 passed my Advanced Test achieving a Gold standard. Followed by my Tutor Qualification in Feb 2019 and my Advanced Tutor Qualification in 2021

I love touring Europe with Rebecca and wild camping and swimming (Rebecca only) as we go. The freedom is amazing.    

 

Joining ARNY for me has been a fantastic way to become a safer and more relaxed rider and a way of protecting the girl on the back.

I had no idea how the System of Motorcycle Control could become second nature and a natural part of riding. You also have the added bonus of making 30 new, like-minded friends without having to resort to social media ! Ha!   I recommend it to everyone.
