I had a number of bikes when I was younger including a Triumph Tiger and a BMW 800. After a long absence from biking, broken only by short spells when friends could be persuaded to lend me their bikes (including on one occasion an MV Agusta F4S!) I decided to buy my own again.

I passed my bike test at 16 (pre CBT then) and my HGV Class 1 at 21 followed by a year driving artics for Goodyear Racing and fitting tyres at Grand Prix and Group 5 (Porsche and BMW) races throughout Europe.

I passed my IAM driving test in 1985, and the RoSPA motorcycle test in 2016.

My other interests are cycling, both on and off road, and playing guitar.
