Helen Ward

I came to motorcycling a little later in life, only taking up riding in my 40s—though I’d spent time on the back as a pillion in my younger years. Not long after passing my DAS, I joined ARNY with the goal of becoming the safest rider I could be, driven by the determination to always make it home to my son.

With the support of ARNY’s fantastic tutor team, I achieved a gold standard in my advanced test. I’m now proud to be giving back as a tutor myself and hope to volunteer with Blood Bikes in the future.

Outside of tutoring, I ride as much as I can—whether that’s commuting, green laning, or exploring my favourite place, the North Yorkshire Moors, on both road and trail bikes.
