Look back at February

Despite another month of not the best biking weather, ARNY still managed a total of 18 training rides involving 10 different associates and all 10 tutors.

We had two further test passes with Denise Rose and Mick Findley both obtaining very creditable Silver grade passes; well done to both of you.

February saw a further increase in membership with three new members; Paul Crane, Paul Rushton and Matthew Harbottle. Welcome to you all.

As mentioned last month, we were training two new tutors and John Neaves successfully qualified in February. John joined ARNY as an associate and last year, successfully passed his advanced test at the highest (Gold) grade and is a welcome addition to the tutor team.

On the social scene our ARNY 'off roaders' (Richard, Jeff and Andy) have been out and about again but this time much closer to home; green laning around the York area. Our monthly social rides start next month and are on the last Sunday of each month from March through to October. Details to follow.

On Saturday 25th we supported the BMW Official Launch Day as guests at Barrie Robson's in York. Several people approached us for chats about ARNY, what we do and what we can provide. Hopefully some of those people will become new members soon and take the first steps towards advanced rider training.

Finally, Monday 27th was our AGM. The current committee were re-elected and two new posts also created to reflect the growing number of members. We are all looking forward to the year ahead.

So, all in all, another busy month for ARNY and hopefully we will continue to flourish month by month.

Thanks for reading.
