Nearly Ice Cream Weather for the Mr Moo's Social Ride

Steve, Anne, Colin, Maureen, Richard, Andy, Neil, and Rob (Neil’s neighbour) Arrived at Strawberry field for the 10-00 depart to cover some new roads and enjoy several watering holes on the way. Surprisingly the weather was kind and the sun shone.

Setting off back onto the A64 and A166 up Garrowby hill before turning of onto the unclassified road to Huggate and North Dalton before joining the B1264 and the first stop at the Wolds Village, Tea’s coffee’s and cakes later Joined by Mr Speight just as we were about to ride out we were back on the B1248 towards Beverley using the bypass toward Tickton and a short quick up to speed acceleration on the A165 dual carriageway before catching the very pleasant B1244 towards Hornsea. Not wanting to spend too long in the saddle, (Andy) we made our way immediately up the B1242 passing the Hornsea Sea of Caravan Parks to the planned light Lunch stop of Mr Moo's Light Lunch and Ice Cream Parlour. It was a group discussion that we visit the seaside so after refreshments and the usual natters we back tracked to Hornsea for the group photo.

Back on the road once again up the B1242 into Skipsea to follow the B1249 which is a delightful road with its twists and turns making for a very enjoyable section toward Driffield, before the final section of the social on the B1252 to Sledmere and finishing at Seaways Cafe at Fridaythorpe. Everyone made their own way from here to their end destination. Thanks to all who turned out.

106mls from Strawberry Fields to Seaways.
