Hello and welcome to our ‘Looking Back’ article for March 2018.
Well March didn’t fair much better than February weather wise but we did have some good news early in the month when ARNY received its new accreditation certificate. This is a result of RoSPA's new guidelines meaning all groups had to apply for accreditation by meeting a certain number of criteria. The committee worked hard on this and we are all very proud to be successful.
Training wise, despite the weather we still managed 10 training rides involving 7 associates and tutors. Well done to everyone for making the effort.
We also had 2 new members join us in March; welcome to David Atkinson and Tony Bolder. Thank you for choosing ARNY.
Over the weekend of 10th and 11th the ARNY team supported local BMW dealer, Barrie Robson Motorcycles of York for their Season Launch event. We had lots of enquiries and chatted to numerous people over the weekend and it was great to meet so many people showing an interest in advanced rider training.
On the social front, the intended Sunday social ride had to be cancelled due to the weather but a few days later saw tutors Jeff and Richard head to the Forest of Bowland with John Aldridge and Lance Monkman for some off-road antics. Much muddy fun was had resulting in some serious cleaning afterwards!
And finally, congratulations to our Chair, Steve Potts who successfully re qualified as an Advanced Tutor on his triennial re-test. Well done Steve, a great result.
Until next month…
