ARNY Open Day a Storming Success

Despite the threat of poor weather, the rain held of for the vast majority of ARNY's first Open Day this Saturday at Strawberry Fields Café.

There was a very friendly atmosphere with 6 visitors taking taster rides with their accompanying free sandwich, 2 members squeezing in some training and 4 new members joining the club (so far) and plenty of interested visitors.

Current and prospective members also enjoyed chatting with representatives from North Yorkshire Police, Yorkshire Ambulance Service and Whiteknights Yorkshire Blood Bikes who were able to share their advanced riding experiences.

A brave attempt was made to ride to Scarborough after the heavens opened in the afternoon, but discretion was the better part of valour and we abandoned the ride at Elvington.

We would like to thank all those who helped to support the day and look forward to making this an annual event.
