The month started with the continuation of storm Alex which caused training on the first Saturday of the month to be cancelled. The weather improved somewhat once storm Alex had passed through but there were some periods of heavy rain with rainfall being 150% of the norm and sunshine 75% of the norm for what was a wet and gloomy month! Despite the inclement conditions training activity for the month remained high with 25 training sessions involving 12 Associates. As we come to the end of the summer riding season, despite all the challenges of 2020, we have welcomed 15 new members throughout the year and we have also had some of busiest Saturday morning training sessions we have ever seen. Message from Steve Potts: We have now received the as expected guidance from RoSPA which says: “All tutoring, ride-outs and group events in England should be postponed or cancelled (unless taking place online)”. This is for the duration of the latest lockdown between Thursday 5 November and Wednesday 2 December 2020. Retests will continue to be notified by RoSPA and tests can still be booked to take place when the lockdown ends. So ARNY will hopefully be training again on Saturday 5 December. This will be confirmed in due course. Best wishes, Steve.
