I started biking in 1980 and have continued ever since without a break; "it's in my blood" as the saying goes.

I first became involved in advanced rider training in the late '90s through a scheme run by Honda, called Honda MAC, and I took my first RoSPA bike test in 1998 obtaining a Gold pass.

During my time in the motorcycle section of Humberside Police I qualified as a Class 1 advanced rider and driver and also became involved with BikeSafe, something which I continue with today as an accredited Bike Safe observer on behalf of RoSPA.

I joined ARNY in 2013 and I am currently the groups Training Officer, responsible for training new tutors, coaching the existing tutor team and I also tutor as often as possible.

Being part of ARNY is a great experience and has introduced me to a mix of bikers from all walks of life. Everyone involved with the group is passionate about advanced rider training and we get to do it on some of the best biking roads in the country....what's not to like?!
