Lives in East Riding

An adventure bike riding, green laning, canoeing, middle distance running (I'm taking a career break!), Paramedic. I got into bikes somewhat illicitly, early in my 22 year Army career. After going onto the straight and narrow I passed my test in 1996 and soon realised if I didn’t learn how to do things properly I’d be making an RD350 F2 shaped hole in a nearby hedge/wall so trained for and passed the IAM test a year later.

Fast forward 20 years and I’m now a Paramedic with Yorkshire Ambulance Service. Part of my day job is picking up the pieces when one of my biking brethren gets it wrong, so it seems worthwhile (and sensible to make my life easier) to try to help prevent that happening in the first place. So after a quick skills refresh and a RoSPA Gold in 2016, 2017 sees me join the ARNY team of tutors.

Due to my job, I won’t make all the Saturday training rides but I will often be available during the week; be that for a training session, a social run out, or even a mixed surface tour in Europe if you are mad enough to join me...
